When you take the time to create an awesome piece of content that’s really valuable to your audience, where do you share it?
It’s really straightforward to repurpose content and cross post on various social media platforms using apps or tools like Hootsuite.
It saves time and it helps you reach more of your desired audience quickly!
Remember when cross posting to consider the demographics of that platform’s users e.g. you might use different language on TikTok than you would on Facebook. Also consider the format, orientation and size constraints e.g. YouTube uses 16:9 video whereas Instagram Reels uses 9:16 aspect ratio.
Think about it as if you were the viewer, it’s so easy to get distracted so try to keep their attention by using as much space on their phone screen as possible!
When you find a problem your audience faces or a common question they have, address this in a variety of ways:
1. Write a blog post with short, SEO rich paragraphs broken up with engaging imagery
2. Create Instagram feed posts, Reels and Stories. Reels can be repurposed for TikTok (just remember to avoid watermarks).
3. Share your blog / videos on Facebook – your main business page and within your Facebook group. A good way for extra engagement within your group is the use of Polls.
4. Post the content to YouTube as a longer video and a shorter version to YouTube Shorts.
5. Post about your content with a photo and link to Threads.
6. Talk about the blog / content on Instagram Stories, sharing a link and explaining why your content is useful / entertaining / informative.
7. Email all of your email newsletter subscribers with a link to your blog or videos. This is one of the best ways to grow a business and should be a focus from day one. MailChimp is free and is what I started with. Klaviyo is more expensive and complex but with advanced features you’ll need as you grow.
